Are you interested in Netherlands' finest projects and do you follow innovations closely?
@CRUX Engineering BV is a young company that in 20 years has grown into a large leading consultancy providing high-quality advice in the fields of #geotechnology, #hydrogeology, #environmental and #risk assessements.
CRUX invites you to join us at our Delft office on March 22 for a borrel lecture. During this lecture we will present to you two projects we are working on in a 45-minute presentation after which there is time for informal chatter.
>The first project we present is about the design of a pile foundation in Dordrecht where the sand layer we want to found on is very thin or missing in some places. This will result in differential settlement of the piles and thus the building. With a pile-ground interaction analysis, the settlement can be predicted and thus be anticipating on in the design.
>The second presentation is about a CEMS project. @CEMS: CRUX Engineering MicroServices BV is a digital services provider for the geotechnical world. As member of the Tri-AX – Reconstructie Knooppunt De Nieuwe Meer consortium, CEMS is currently responsible for the geotechnical design of the GSP's and the foundation design of most of the fly-overs of the A10 highway renovation works in Amsterdam (knooppunt de Nieuwe Meer). Together with the rest of the design team a parametric design philosophy is applied to generate a 3D model of the embankments, sub-surface layers and construction elements. This model is used to initiate automated geotechnical calculation analyses, using both external (Plaxis) and internal (PileCore) software. In this talk, we will show you how this state-of-the-art methodology is used to come to a better design, while also being able to respond quickly to design changes and new site investigation data.
Working at CRUX is an excellent start of your career! As a junior geotechnical engineer, you will work on a wide range of projects to fully develop your skills. You are assigned to a mentor who will guide you and you can sharpen your skills at the CRUX academy. At CRUX, there is plenty of room for your own input. For example, a number of enthusiastic colleagues recently set up Jong CRUX; the younger section of CRUX that easily brings you into contact with peers and regularly organises fun activities.
